The SCOTFIT portfolio is curated across manufacturers and structured into six quality tiers. The tier describes materials, equipment level and design ambition of a series – not its training effect. A Basic leg press trains the same muscle as one from a Premium+ line. The difference lies in how the machine feels, how it looks and how it behaves over years of heavy use.
What the tier describes – and what it does not
The classification concerns things like frame gauge and finish, bearings and guides, upholstery quality, adjustment mechanics, surfaces and design language. It does not concern the biomechanical idea of a machine: a chest press remains a chest press.
For the purchase decision that means: the question is not “which tier is best” but “which tier suits this floor, this frequency and this target group”.
The tiers at a glance
The order from highest to lowest reads: Premium+, Premium, Performance+, Performance, Basic+, Basic. Which series currently sit in which tier, and how many machines belong to each, is shown in the comparison – those figures come straight from the catalogue and are therefore always current.
Mixing tiers within one floor
In practice a single tier throughout is rarely the most economical solution. Common considerations:
- Specify areas that shape the first impression higher.
- Specify heavily used machines higher than rarely used ones.
- Set accessories and secondary areas lower without saving on the strength floor.
- Keep one tier within a zone – mixed appearance in the same row is noticeable.
Customisation is independent of the tier
RAL frame colours, upholstery colours, stitching and logo applications are not reserved for the upper tiers. A consistent colour world across different tiers is therefore possible – visually the floor reads as one, even when the series are classified differently.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Premium+ always the better choice?
- Not necessarily. The higher tier pays off where frequency, target group expectations or visual impact justify it. In secondary areas it ties up budget that achieves more elsewhere.
- Can series from different tiers be combined?
- Yes. The portfolio is curated across manufacturers and designed to be combined. Frame and upholstery colours still produce a consistent appearance.
- How do I recognise the tier of a series?
- It is shown on every series and product page and in the series quick select of each product world. The quality tier comparison gives the complete overview.
